Lichen is now mobile friendly!
Lichen, the simplest possible CMS for the web that is friendly enough for non-technical users, is now mobile friendly!
This was something that kind of just struck me all of a sudden yesterday because of a text from a friend of mine.
Do we collectively know anyone who can build website 🤔 I think like a bio page and then a page where I can put links to videos and my sub stack and stuff would be good! I don’t think I need that much else. I just figured I’m a small boy I can have small website
The absolute perfect use case for lichen.
For about a year, I haven't been actively working on it, mainly because of this house renovation I've been doing. But getting this message put the fire under my ass to work on it again.
My main thought with this friend was that they may like using a phone to edit pages. And likely, many users of a range of abilities would benefit from a similar affordance (zoomed in page, small viewport, etc.).
So while hanging with my partner, the idea for the fix came, which was a surprise. I just didn't think it was possible without a ton of extra work, but a few hours of work later made it just work, which is cool!
There have been a few other additions, like improved accessibility and a PR to add youtube embeds on links to youtube videos. Check it out!
